We cover the LAMDA syllabus (exams are optional) for all students wishing to develop life-long skills, extend their imagination and boost self-confidence both in everyday life or in pursuit of their performing dreams! We believe acting is incredibly beneficial to a young person’s development and as a way of expressing themselves.
The Introductory Exams are the perfect start for young learners. By learning words of a fun poem they are developing the ability to express themselves and improve their memorisation and recall. Not only that, they also gain courage and confidence as they talk about the things they love. These conversations encourage young learners to feel at ease listening and answering questions and using description.
The Acting Exams encourages learners to develop their vocal, physical and interpretive skills whilst they explore fun dramatic texts and delve into different characters! Working through these grades takes the learners through the development of character portrayal and clear speaking as well as understanding a playwrights style.
Grade 6 and above examinations are also included in the UCAS tariff meaning that learners, after passing their exams, can claim the points to help them with university entries in the UK.
